Email Questions to kc@kudzucash.com

in Welcome

First of all, I have received quite a few emails recently.  I must admit that I am quite surprised since the site has not been advertised.

I would like to address a few things I have been asked.

If you have questions (not that I have all the answers), please email me at kc@kudzucash.com.  I love hearing from everyone.

This site is a labor of love.  I don’t have all the answers or know everything there is to know about the internet and internet marketing.  But, I have tried a lot of things that worked and more that didn’t work.  That said, I would not dare tell anyone that what worked for me will work for you.  And, conversely, just because I didn’t do as well at some things doesn’t mean they won’t make you a lot of money.

I have found over the years that there are lots and lots and lots of internet “get rich quick” schemes that may make you quite a bit of money.  But, one thing I suggest that everyone bear in mind is that even the most knowledgeable of the so-called gurus had to start somewhere.  And, like most overnight sensations they paid their dues in spades before they “got rich.”

My purpose in beginning this blog is not to tell anyone that this is the only way to go.  There are other paths.  Be creative.  The purpose I began with is that many people, like myself, didn’t grow up with the internet.  It was a new tool for an old dog.  For the first year I had internet access I thought AOL was the Internet.  In fact, I was afraid to go outside that sphere because I thought I would get lost.  And, I did.  I was so overwhelmed with all the information and all the hype that I sat for hours and hours in front of the screen trying to read everything and see everything.  My dream was to reach the end of the Internet, like the guy in the commercial a few years back.

I noticed that people were making money online and bragging about the wonderful incomes one could earn from the comfort of home, sitting in flannel pajamas and fuzzy slippers.  And, I thought it would be nice to earn a little extra income.

When I listed my first item for sale on eBay I had absolutely no idea what I was doing.  I mean, no idea at all.  I think it took me two days to write my first listing and it looked like a first grader did it.  But, the item sold and there was money in my Paypal account.  It doesn’t take long to become addicted.

Now, I would love to be able to say that I enjoyed every minute I have spent working online.  I haven’t.  There have been ups and downs.  Some days I walked on air… like the first day I made $100 in a day or the first week I grossed $1000.  And, other days and weeks I wondered where all the eBay buyers went.  I can remember the week I sold one item after having sold several weeks of over $500 minimum in merchandise.  You could have buried me and it would have been up for me.  Like any other job, I thought about quitting and turning off the computer forever.  But, once you get a taste of money that comes out of thin air, it’s hard to give it up.

Some of the emails have stated that it’s hard to get started.  Well, it really isn’t hard, even if you have never done it.  It’s just new and different from getting up, getting dressed, and driving to a job.  But, you can take your coffee break whenever you want!  For me, that’s a plus.  However, along with that little perk I must admit that you must temper it with a little more discipline.  Remember, it’s still a job…. or as I prefer to think of it…. as income opportunity.

About the discipline of working online.  Deciding what you are going to do online is the big decision.  Once that is out of the way, you need to set some goals.  I know that sounds corny to some people.  But, I have taught sales training and positive mental attitude seminars for years, and whether you believe in the law of attraction, have been swept off your feet by The Secret, or have never tried to do anything except work for someone else, you have to know where to start.

To that end, I have introduced the readers to a few of my closest friends through their eBay stores or through their blogs.  We work together to keep one another going.  Our ages range from middle age to… well, I’m waiting for my AARP card.  And, I have a few friends who are much younger who wanted to work from home because they are mothers with two and three year olds.  We communicate daily and keep one another going when the going gets tough.  Of course, you are invited to join our little mastermind alliance.  Having a supportive friend is always helpful.

One of the sites I haven’t mentioned yet is Re-creating Reality.  If you are having trouble getting started or maybe need a little extra direction, this is a great site to visit.  I walk each morning with its owner, not by accident, but by design.  When I need a little motivation, she always gets me going.  Besides, to be successful at anything, we all need a little support.

The advertisements in this blog are what pay to keep it going.  Naturally, I appreciate anyone who decides to purchase from any of the sponsors going through this site to do so.  There is no one advertiser that pays enough to support the site, but every little bit helps.  So, I ask that if you see something you like, please consider going through the ads on this site to purchase it.

We will discuss the benefits of advertising on your site and how to get started if you don’t know how.  One word of caution, you won’t get rich, but it will eventually make it worth your time to place a few ads.

I have tried to answer all emails.  If you have a question or if you have an idea that may be useful to others, please email me at kc@kudzucash.com.  If you are needing a little motivation over the weekend, visit Maya’s site at http://www.recreatingreality.com.  She will be glad to see you.

Enjoy the weekend.  Look forward to seeing you Monday.

K.C.
